STORK Brand USP NPK 20-10-0+10.5Ca+7S Fertilizer

STORK Brand USP NPK Field Trial on VN121 Rice in Tay Ninh
During the Winter-Spring 2024-2025 season, Baconco conducted a field trial of STORK Brand USP NPK 20-10-0+10.5Ca+7S in An Hoa commune, Trang Bang district, Tay Ninh province. The VN121 rice variety was used, with a growth period of 100 to 105 days. Four different treatments were applied on 1,500m² plots each, on slightly acidic soil that had been previously flooded.
The four fertilizer treatments included: T1 (basal application; first and second topdressing without urea; pre-heading application with potassium), T2 (no basal application; first and second topdressing without urea; pre-heading application with potassium), T3 (basal application; first and second topdressing with urea; pre-heading application with potassium), T4 (Control: first and second topdressing using NPK 21:14:7; pre-heading application with NPK 17:7:21).
Soil pH Improvement and Rice Growth Results
The results showed that in treatments using STORK Brand USP NPK, soil pH improved significantly from 4.6-4.8 to 5.5-6.2 just 6 days after basal application.
This pH improvement helped plants grow stronger with thicker, more compact green leaves. Stems were sturdier and roots were noticeably healthier compared to the control without USP (treatment 3 and control showed signs of excess nitrogen).

Monitoring showed that treatment 2 (T2) achieved an average of 86 filled grains per panicle and 490 panicles per m², significantly higher than other treatments. Treatment 2 (T2) reached the highest actual yield of 9.41 tons/ha, 5.85% higher than the control.
These metrics confirm the superior effectiveness of STORK Brand USP NPK 20-10-0+10.5Ca+7S under actual production conditions.
Application Value and Usage Recommendations
The product has high calcium content and controlled release of nitrogen and phosphorus, increasing the efficiency of nitrogen and phosphorus utilization. It reduces alum poisoning and organic toxicity, common issues in rice-growing areas due to post-harvest straw residue.
STORK Brand USP NPK 20-10-0+10.5Ca+7S can be effectively used during all three main stages of the fertilization process: basal application, topdressing, and pre-heading. The product can be used alone or in combination with other fertilizers such as urea or potassium, depending on the application timing and growing conditions.

In Treatment 2: Using STORK USP 20-10-0+10.5Ca+7S for rice topdressing in the first and second applications, combined with potassium for the third application (pre-heading) delivered the best results.
